Sign in to join the discussionThe new Boss timer tracker from the dps meter (https://github.com/ramisotti13-eng/farever-minimap) is confirmed to be more accurate than using the dps meter. Might want to make this the required measure for actual kill times since everyone seems to be using the dps meter instead with inaccurate kill times. Link to the confirmation: https://github.com/ramisotti13-eng/farever-minimap/issues/81
Thanks for the suggestion, and for caring about accurate kill times. That matters to us too. We're going to keep Farever Pals injection-free on principle. Tools that load a DLL into the game work great right now because Farever ships without anti-cheat, but the moment the devs add any detection, or simply decide they don't want in-process mods, everyone relying on one is exposed. We'd rather not build the platform on something that could break, or get people flagged, overnight. We did look at the injection route early on and passed on it for that exact reason. On accuracy: our in-app timer reads the boss's HP directly and tracks the fight from the first hit to the kill, so the times are very accurate. You're still free to time your runs however you like, including with any third-party tool. We just can't auto-trust a number that comes from outside the app, so those runs go through the normal manual route: hit Submit, enter your time, and attach a screenshot or video as proof. Same standard for everyone. Thanks for using Farever Pals.
Farever Pal is strictly read-only: it never writes to the game, injects code, or automates input. It only reads memory and draws overlays, so it cannot modify or crash the game. That is no licence to cheat: exploiting bugs, manipulating run timers, splicing videos, or abusing the leaderboard will get you banned and excluded from the community. Keep it fair so the boards stay meaningful for everyone.
